In short

1. Who we are

The data controller is xBitsNL Gaming (Jeroen Oudshoorn), the developer and publisher of Kings. Contact: oudshoorn.jeroen@gmail.com.

2. Data stored on your device

Kings stores the following on your device only, in the app’s private storage (Android DataStore). It is not transmitted to us or to any third party:

This data is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android settings.

3. Data processed through Google Play Games Services

Kings offers optional online leaderboards using Google Play Games Services. You are only signed in if you choose to be; all single-player features, including the daily puzzle and your on-device streak, work without signing in.

If you sign in, Google processes, on our behalf as a Play Games developer:

These are used solely to display leaderboards inside Google’s Play Games interface. This processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play Games terms. We do not receive your email address or Google account details. You can review or delete your Play Games data at myaccount.google.com and in the Play Games app settings.

The legal basis for this processing is your consent, given when you sign in. You can withdraw it at any time by signing out or by not using the leaderboards.

4. Network permission

Kings requests the INTERNET permission only to communicate with Google Play Games when you use the leaderboards. The app also declares the com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID permission for store-configuration compatibility, but the current version does not use the advertising ID and shows no advertising.

5. What we do not do

6. Children

Kings is not directed at children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Sign-in to Google Play Games is subject to Google’s own age requirements.

7. Data retention

On-device data is kept until you delete it (uninstall or clear app data). Leaderboard data held by Google Play Games is retained and deleted according to Google’s policies and your Google account settings.

8. International transfers

Where Google Play Games processes your data, it may be transferred to and stored on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

9. Your rights

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date above and, where appropriate, announced in the app or on the Google Play listing. If a future version of Kings introduces advertising or analytics, this policy and the Google Play Data safety section will be updated before that version is released.
